At the same time I didn't really challenge the idea of democracy, but I'm more willing to ponder that "I guess" these days. IDK.
On that last line, I was thinking about the Winston Churchill quote: "democracy is the worst form of government – except for all the others that have been tried," but from the perspective of how I often hear politicians all my life talk about how wonderful "democracy" is. It's good when it works, but it often does not. ...but also like Churchill, when I consider the alternatives, there is much to be desired.

I may not always agree with him, and I couldn't care less about partisanship politics, ideology, etc, but I feel like DJT has a pretty steady hand on the tiller. We need common sense, pragmatism in DC.

Iwouldn't want any writer that I love, towards whom I have made editorial suggestions regarding their work to see me jumping up and down crying out Eric! Eric! Void is the greatest!! I wish I were on the acquisition team. I would make a values-based defense of your story.
