That is how my latest book, A Presidents Day Carol, begins. It is out now in paperback and ebook formats. I believe this is my funniest book yet, and considering all the things going on in the world right now, I think we could all use a good laugh.

As the title might suggest, this is a satirical take on the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. We find newly-elected and self-proclaimed “Greatest President” Donald Trump on Presidents Day Eve 2017. A cadre of ghosts of former Presidents haunt number 45 to reform his outlook on leadership and the presidency. Will they succeed and humble a President who has “more humility than you would think”?¹

This book lets you choose your own ending. Whether you love or hate Trump (and let’s be honest, those are the only two choices), you get to decide Trump’s fate and determine how the story ends. My philosophy with this book (and in my previous Al Gore book) is to first be funny, trying to find ways to make the broadest cross-section of potential readers laugh. And second, to be an equal-opportunity jabber without being mean. This book is about taking a step back from the contentious politics of our time, and take a nice hearty laugh at ourselves.
